Very powerful, full-bodied, robust, and spicy. Produced dry and aged for a very long time in oak as a Reserva. Sanchez Romate, producer of the world-famous Cardenal Mendoza brandy, embodies tradition. The bodega was founded in 1781 by Juan Sánchez de la Torre and is still family-owned today. Since then, they have consistently produced top-quality whisky using the latest technological standards, while remaining deeply committed to traditional methods. This commitment led to their appointment as a supplier to the British House of Lords in London in 1909 and as an official supplier to the Pope in Rome in 1917. The bodega is located in Jerez de la Frontera and owns its own vineyards, some with very old vines. Sanchez Romate has been producing sherry for over 200 years and, like few others, has access to rare, long-aged batches. Sanchez Romate now shares this wealth with the world in small quantities. For several years, the bodega has been bottling older batches as Reserva Especial. We are fortunate to be able to offer you this richness. Some of the products in the Reserva Especial line are aged for more than 20 years (Amontillado, Oloroso). They are incredibly dense and intense. Romate Reserva Especial is paradise for sherry lovers.
