Riesling Dorsheimer Burgberg GG

The Dorsheimer Burgberg is one of the best Riesling sites in the Nahe region – and this Grosses Gewächs shows why. Taut, mineral, with a depth that surprises at the first sip.

Dorsheim is located in the northern Nahe valley, where porphyry rock and red sandstone give the Riesling its characteristic bite. The Burgberg is a steep site with an ideal southern exposure – the foundation for wines with structure and long aging potential.

In the glass, it shows a clear citrus image: lemon zest, white peach, and apricot; with some air, mirabelle and dried herbs are added. On the palate, the wine feels taut and finely juicy at the same time – a lively acidity carries the herbal aromas without stinging. The minerality is present and almost warm-spicy, not a cool slate cliché, but something earthier, more serious. The finish is long, finely aromatic, and intensely mineral.
