Peter Lehmann »The Barossan« Grenache 0.75L

Grenache from the Barossa Valley shows here what the region does particularly well: ripe red fruit with depth, without losing freshness. The Barossan from Peter Lehmann is an accessible yet characterful red wine — juicy, spicy, with true Barossa temperament.

Peter Lehmann is one of the defining names of the Barossa Valley. The winery was founded in 1979 and has stood for decades for working with classic Barossa grape varieties — including Grenache, which ripens particularly aromatically in this hot, dry region and develops its typically soft tannin structure.

In the glass, an intense aroma profile of raspberry, maraschino cherry, and pomegranate opens up, underpinned by a peppery, slightly floral spice with a rose note. On the palate, juicy and round, with soft tannins and a medium-bodied weight — not an edgy wine, but one that brings joy from the very first sip.

Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs well with grilled lamb chops, chorizo tapas, or a spicy tomato sugo. Also a good choice as an uncomplicated companion for an evening without much cooking.
