The Panarea Sunset Gin is a Mediterranean gin with 44% vol., bottled in a handy 0.05 l bottle – ideal for getting to know it. It comes from the island of Panarea in the Aeolian archipelago, which lies in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the north coast of Sicily. It is distributed by DIS Distillers & Distributors.

The gin is refined with locally grown Mediterranean plants and fruits, including citrus fruits, blueberries, and myrtle berries. On the nose, it shows juniper, Mediterranean herbs, and fresh citrus fruits. On the palate, it is soft, with notes of spicy herbs, juniper, berries, and citrus. The finish is long and intensely fruity.

It unfolds best when slightly chilled at just under 12 °C. As a base for cocktails and long drinks, it fits well, for example in a Bramble: 5 cl gin, 2 cl lemon juice, 1 cl sugar syrup, and 4–5 blackberries, lightly crushed, on crushed ice in a tumbler.
