A gin from the Lipari Islands: Panarea Island Gin comes from the small island of Panarea in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the north coast of Sicily. At 44% ABV, it is strong enough for cocktails and soft enough for the first sip neat.

In addition to juniper, locally grown Mediterranean plants and fruits refine the recipe, including citrus fruits, blueberries, and myrtle berries. On the nose, juniper, Mediterranean herbs, and fresh citrus notes appear. On the palate, it feels soft, with spicy herbs, juniper, berries, and citrus. The finish is long and fruity.

Best tried slightly chilled at about 12 °C, as this is how it shows its nuances. Its fruit makes it the base for long drinks and cocktails, such as a Bramble: 5 cl gin, lemon juice, 1 cl sugar syrup, and blackberries on crushed ice, plus a blackberry as a garnish.
