A Rioja from the house of Montecillo, which has been one of the most traditional wineries in the region since 1874. Bodegas Montecillo belongs to the Osborne Group and works with grapes from the classic sites of the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa — zones known for their clay-limestone soils and the characteristic combination of Atlantic and continental climate.

The Edición Limitada stands for a careful selection from the vintage: In the glass, a deep ruby red appears. The nose offers ripe blackberry and black cherry, underscored by spice notes — clove, a hint of cinnamon — as are typical for aged Tempranillo cuvées from the Rioja. On the palate, the wine appears round, with a present but well-integrated tannin structure and a long, spicy finish.

Pairs well with leg of lamb with rosemary butter, grilled Ibérico pork, or a strong Manchego. Drinking temperature: 16–18 °C. Also a reliable choice as a companion to braised dishes and game ragouts.
