The Malvasia 10 Years from Henriques & Henriques stands for the sweet, full Madeira style: opulent in its aromatics, but carried by the acidity that distinguishes the island's wines. It is a wine for long evenings and small glasses.

Henriques & Henriques is one of the traditional Madeira houses. The Malvasia, also called Malmsey on Madeira, is the sweetest of the classic Madeira grape varieties. With 20% ABV and the age statement of 10 years, this is a Madeira that combines depth and structure.

On the nose, candied fruits, caramel, and roasted notes appear, along with hints of spice. On the palate, it is soft, full, and long. The finish feels sweet and at the same time piquant; the acidity keeps the sweetness in balance.

Recommendation: With dark chocolate, nut pastries, or desserts with caramel. It becomes exciting with strong blue cheese or aged hard cheese if you are consciously looking for contrasts. Serve it at 14 to 16 °C in a small glass.
