Gevrey-Chambertin AC 2023 from Maison Joseph Drouhin is a classic Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits and shows the warm vintage with ripe fruit and clear structure. In the glass, it glows ruby red. On the nose, intensely fruity with black cherry, wild blackberry, and licorice, plus fine roasted aromas. On the palate, harmonious tannins combine with natural freshness and velvety texture; nutmeg and a hint of leather provide depth. With maturity, balsamic nuances of mushroom and damp earth emerge. The finish is long and complex. Serve at 16-18 degrees Celsius, open 1 hour beforehand, decant if necessary. Drinking maturity until 2041.
