The Geldermann private sparkling wine cellar is located in Breisach, Baden, and is one of the most famous German sparkling wine houses. The Carte Blanche Sec is based on Pinot Noir from Baden — a region known for full-bodied, fruit-forward base wines. The Sec classification means a residual sugar content between 17 and 32 g/l, so noticeably milder than a Brut, but by no means sweet.

In the glass, aromas of white peach and pear appear, plus a subtle yeast note. The Pinot Noir brings some structure and body, the finish remains fruity and round. The perlage is fine and persistent.
