Fincas Valdemacuco Roble Ribera del Duero

Fincas Valdemacuco Roble Ribera del Duero
Tempranillo from the heart of the Ribera del Duero, briefly aged in oak: the Valdemacuco Roble shows why this plateau is known for strong, characterful red wines.
Fincas Valdemar is one of the established names of the Ribera del Duero – a family-run winery with vineyards at an altitude of around 900 meters, where cool nights and intense sunshine ensure depth and freshness. The Roble (Spanish for "oak") is the most approachable entry into their portfolio: young, direct, and easy to drink.
In the glass, it shines a brilliant cherry red. The nose reveals ripe blackberry and plum, underpinned by violets and a delicate hint of vanilla from the brief oak aging. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with soft tannins, well-integrated spice, and a clean, fruity finish.
Serving suggestion: Drink now – this wine does not benefit from further aging. Served at 16–17 °C , it pairs well with grilled lamb, chorizo, patatas bravas, or a hearty lentil stew.

Bodegas Valdemar – Success with Tradition. With their classic Rioja wines, they have established themselves among Spain's top producers. But that's not all: in 2011, Jesús and Ana Martínez Bujanda founded Fincas Valdemar in the Ribera del Duero – a region that has gained considerable prestige since 1982. There, in Nava de Roa, a mild microclimate prevails. Sandy, siliceous soils give the grapes exceptional freshness. The wines are vinified individually and aged in barriques. Valdemar – where Rioja classics meet the spirit of discovery from Ribera. Spanish winemaking that inspires.
