The Sherry Cask Reserve #4 is a Yorkshire single malt that spends its entire maturation time in former sherry casks. It stands for the sherry-influenced side of Filey Bay.

The Spirit of Yorkshire distillery is located in the east of England, near the coast. For this 2024 release, it combines two cask types: Moscatel provides the lighter, creamier influence, Pedro Ximénez the depth and dried fruit. Bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration and without coloring. The edition is limited to 2,000 bottles worldwide, with only a small contingent going to Germany.

In the glass, brown sugar, marmalade, currants, and walnuts appear, accompanied by festive spices. The fruit is juicy, the cask structure clear. The texture remains dense, the finish long. Recommendation: neat at room temperature, preferably with a few drops of water. Pairs with a quiet evening after a meal or with dark chocolate with a high cocoa content.
