A single cask bottling from Yorkshire: The Filey Bay Farmhouse Edition Single Cask comes from first-fill Oloroso sherry cask no. 3519 and is bottled at cask strength. With the sherry cask in the foreground, this is a single malt for those who appreciate intensity.

Spirit of Yorkshire distills in the east of England, near the coast at Filey. This bottling was created specifically for selected Filey Bay Farmhouses in Germany. There are only 315 bottles from this single cask.

The nose reveals dried fruits, fine pastry, and dark oak. The palate follows with orange cake, honeycomb, ripe citrus fruits, and juicy stone fruits, plus a spicy note and a balanced sweetness. The finish is long and complex. Recommendation: neat in a nosing glass, with a few drops of water if necessary to further open up the aromas. A whisky for quiet evenings and conversation among sherry fans.
