The Filey Bay Edition Roots is a Yorkshire Single Malt Whisky with a smooth, fruity profile. It is bottled at 45% ABV and is easily accessible for both beginners and experienced malt drinkers.

Behind the whisky is the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, which distills on the coast of Yorkshire in Northern England. For the Edition Roots, the malt is matured in ex-bourbon and red wine casks. This combination provides the fruit and light sweetness in the glass.

On the nose and palate, ripe berries, light sweetness, and caramel take center stage, accompanied by a gentle woody note and fine spices. The texture is soft and juicy, with enough freshness to keep the whisky from feeling heavy.

Recommendation: Neat as a quiet dram in the evening, with a drop of water if desired. The malt also holds its own in high-quality drinks, for example in an Old Fashioned.
