A classic Kirsch from Central Switzerland: The Etter Zuger Kirsch “Black Beauty” is a Swiss cherry brandy with 41% vol, straightforward in style and clear in fruit.

The Etter Söhne AG Distillerie Zug is one of the well-known names for fruit brandies from Zug, a region closely associated with cherries and cherry brandy. The 0.2-liter bottle is well-suited for a first encounter with the style.

The nose shows cherry and stone, plus the fine bitter almond note that connoisseurs appreciate in good Kirsch. On the palate, it remains dry, precise, and clear, without putting sharpness in the foreground. In the aftertaste, cherry fruit and warmth carry on calmly.

Best enjoyed neat from a tulip glass at room temperature, at the end of a meal. It goes with an espresso or a piece of dark chocolate. It is also a classic as a splash in cheese fondue or in the bakery.
