Etter Weichselkirsch Single cask, 44% ABV limited special edition for Segnitz in GP 0.7L

A Weichselkirsch (sour cherry brandy) from Switzerland, bottled as a single cask and adjusted to 44% vol. This limited special edition for Segnitz shows the fruit brandy from its quiet, mature side.

It was distilled by Etter Söhne AG Distillerie in Zug, a house known for Kirsch and fruit brandies from Central Switzerland. Single cask means: the brandy comes from a single cask and thus receives its own profile.

In the glass, the cherry fruit remains delicate and clear. Added to this are warm notes of vanilla, almond, and fine wood spice. The 44% vol. appears present but not harsh, and carries the aromas into a long, warm finish. A few drops of water open up the fruit additionally.

Recommendation: neat at room temperature in a tulip glass, as a digestif after a meal, with espresso, or with dark chocolate.
