«Beyond the Clouds» is the flagship white wine of the South Tyrolean winery Elena Walch — a cuvée that shows what the high altitudes of the Adige Valley can achieve at the highest level.

Elena Walch is one of the defining names in South Tyrol. The winery, based in Tramin, cultivates sites between the valley and the mountain flank, including the renowned Kastelaz site. The «Beyond the Clouds» is the cuvée that the house has positioned as its figurehead for years — vinified with the ambition to bring the aromatic complexity of the alpine vineyards completely into the glass.

In the glass, it shines in a rich, intense yellow. The nose shows a multi-layered play of white flowers, ripe pear, and a hint of elderflower, underscored by fine vanilla. On the palate, it convinces with considerable fullness and density — a white wine with emphasis that nevertheless retains freshness and length. The finish is warm and persistent.

Best served at 10–12 °C. Pairs with hearty appetizers, grilled sea bass, scallops with butter sauce, mature mountain cheese, or tenderly fried veal fillet.
