Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon 0.75L

Don Melchor is the flagship of Concha y Toro — a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon that has been one of the most famous red wines in South America for decades and stands up to international standards.

Concha y Toro is one of the oldest and most important wineries in Chile. Don Melchor comes from the Puente Alto sub-valley in the Maipo Valley, south of Santiago, where the Cabernet Sauvignon reaches special maturity on well-drained gravel soils near the foothills of the Andes. The region's cool night climate ensures slow aroma development and a natural acid structure.

Deep ruby red in the glass. On the nose, cassis and violets, with cedar, tobacco, and a hint of dark chocolate underneath — a classic profile for Cabernet from Maipo. Powerful on the palate, but not heavy: fine tannins, good structure, long finish with a spicy note.

Pairs well with seared beef fillet, rack of lamb with a herb crust, or aged Manchego. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. Decant for an hour before pouring — this noticeably opens up the aromatics.
