Dolcetto d'Alba DOC - Organic

Dolcetto represents the uncomplicated side of Piedmont — and Chiara Boschis demonstrates that uncomplicated doesn't have to mean banal. Her organic Dolcetto d'Alba DOC is juicy, straightforward, and with a spicy character that makes it the perfect everyday companion.

Boschis comes from a winemaking family rooted in Alba for eight generations. In 1981, the family acquired a 400-year-old estate with 2.5 hectares of vineyards surrounding the Cannubi site—one of Barolo's most prestigious vineyards. As one of the few women among renowned producers like Altare, Sandrone, and Scavino, she helped shape the modern Barolo style and has since been known as the "Barolo Girl." She cultivates her Dolcetto with the same meticulous care: hand-harvesting, manual work in the cellar, and small batches.

In the glass, the wine displays red currant and black cherry, a youthful and fresh profile, and a finish with a hint of white pepper. The tannins are characteristically slightly firm for Dolcetto, the body is medium-bodied, and the acidity is lively.

Best served at 16–18 °C . Goes well with pasta with tomato sauce, antipasti platters or grilled poultry — and also looks great on its own.
