Dagromis di Gaja Barolo DOCG 1.5L

A Barolo that combines the power of Nebbiolo with remarkable accessibility — this is the signature of the Dagromis, Gaja's entry into the world of Barolo DOCG from Piedmont.

Angelo Gaja is one of the defining names of Piedmont: The family winery from Barbaresco has made the region internationally famous and has been setting standards for quality and style for decades. The Dagromis is made from 100% Nebbiolo and shows what this grape variety is capable of in the hills of the Langhe — structured, serious, and yet without the austerity that sometimes deters Barolo beginners.

In the glass, it presents itself with the typical garnet red of Nebbiolo, already showing a slight brick tone at the rim. On the nose, cherry, dried rose, and a hint of tar — classic Barolo aromas. On the palate, medium to full body, firm but not rough tannins, and a lively acid structure that gives the wine length and freshness. The finish is warm, slightly spicy, with a hint of licorice.

Pairs with braised beef, game ragù over pappardelle, or aged Parmigiano Reggiano. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. The 1.5-liter magnum bottle is particularly suitable for larger groups — the format preserves the wine and makes an impression when pouring.
