Corimbo Ribera del Duero 0.75L
The Corimbo from Ribera del Duero is a single-varietal Tempranillo – locally called Tinta del País – from certified organic farming, which clearly reflects the cool high-plateau style of the region: structured, dark-fruited, with real backbone.
Bodegas La Horra is located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, at an altitude of around 900 meters. The grapes for the Corimbo come from 25 to 30-year-old bush vines – a training method that regulates water supply and concentrates the berries in this barren landscape. Organic farming without synthetic aids is not a marketing decision here, but part of a consistent philosophy.
In the glass, the wine shows dark blackberry and black cherry, underscored by licorice and a hint of dried herbs. The tannins are present but well-integrated – typical for Tinta del País from older vines at this altitude. The finish is long, with a subtle mineral note.
Pairs with leg of lamb with rosemary, Ibérico pork, or aged Manchego. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Decanting for 30 minutes is worthwhile.
