Château La Mission Haut Brion Blanc Cru Classé AC Pessac-Léognan

A dry white wine from Pessac-Léognan that brings structure and depth: Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is one of the best-known white wines of Bordeaux and carries the Cru Classé status.

The estate is located in Pessac-Léognan south of the city of Bordeaux. The appellation is known for its gravel and pebble soils, on which great dry white wines are produced alongside the red ones. White Graves wines are classically based on Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. This combination combines freshness with fullness. We do not have any information on the exact grape variety proportions and the aging of the vintage, so we stick to what the origin dictates.

In style, wines from this appellation are typically characterized by citrus and stone fruit notes, a fine herbal spice, and firm acidity. In the mouth, they feel dense on the palate, but not heavy, with a long, mineral finish.

Recommendation: Serve at 10 to 12 °C, not too cold, so that the aromas can unfold. It goes with fried turbot, scallops with beurre blanc, Bresse chicken, or mature Comté. A carafe is worth it if you want to give it time in the glass.
