Chassagne Montrachet blanc AC 0.75L
Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the great white wine producers of the Côte de Beaune — and Maison Joseph Drouhin, rooted in Beaune since 1880, is among the most reliable interpreters of this appellation. Their village wine demonstrates why Chardonnay from this limestone-clay soil is so compelling: structured, aromatically dense, with genuine aging potential.
In the glass, the wine presents itself as golden yellow with green reflections. The bouquet opens with white blossoms, brioche, and a hint of citrus peel; with a little aeration, roasted hazelnut and ripe white peach emerge. On the palate, it displays the typical Chassagne combination of lively acidity and creamy texture—not a heavy, buttery style, but precise and mineral on the finish.
Best served at 11–13 °C . Drinking window: now until 2029. Pairs well with scallops with saffron sauce, oven-baked turbot, or a mature Époisses.
