Chablis AC 0.75L

Clear, straightforward Chardonnay from the northernmost tip of Burgundy — Chablis in its most accessible form, shaped by the Kimmeridgian limestone typical of the region, which gives the wines their characteristic minerality.

Maison Joseph Drouhin has been one of the most consistent names in Burgundy since 1880. In Chablis, the house works with grapes from the appellation-typical Kimmeridgian chalk, that fossilized seabed of oyster shells and limestone that gives the Chardonnay a salty freshness that no other soil in the world reproduces.

In the glass, it shows pale gold with greenish reflections. On the nose, fresh lemon peel, white peach, and a hint of chalk. On the palate, lively acidity, slender body, dry finish with a distinct mineral note — the hallmark of Kimmeridgian. No creaminess, no heaviness, but precision.

Classically with oysters, scallops, or a simple filet de sole. Also a good choice with goat cheese or as an aperitif. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
