The Boulard V.S.O.P. is a Calvados with AOC Pays d'Auge, bottled at 40% ABV. It focuses on the balance between apple fruit and cask notes while remaining clear and accessible.

Calvados Boulard stands for the tradition of Normandy, and the Pays d'Auge designation of origin is considered one of the most demanding in the region. The V.S.O.P. is the quality level for Calvados that matures in wood longer than a simple Fine or V.S.

In the glass, the apple is in the foreground, accompanied by gentle vanilla, caramel, and fine wood spice. On the palate, it is round and smooth, the finish is clean and pleasantly warm.

Recommendation: neat at room temperature in a tulip glass, classically after a meal. It also goes with desserts featuring apple or caramel, such as Tarte Tatin, and gives cocktails an apple brandy with substance.
