Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Vignaferrovia

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Vignaferrovia
Vignaferrovia is a Brunello di Montalcino of the classic school: strong in structure, aromatically complex and with the backbone for long aging.
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is considered one of Italy's most demanding red wines. The Riserva designation requires a minimum of six years of aging before release – two years in large oak barrels and four months in the bottle. The result: a Sangiovese Grosso that possesses depth and patience.
The nose reveals dried cherry, tobacco, and a hint of dark chocolate, underpinned by spicy herbal notes. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with firm but ripe tannins, lively acidity, and a long, dry finish with a slightly mineral aftertaste.
Serving suggestion: Decant at least two hours before drinking. Serving temperature 17–18 °C. Drinking window 2025–2035. Pairs well with braised beef (Brasato al Barolo), venison ragù with pappardelle, or aged Pecorino di Pienza.
