Bellevoye Rouge 43% vol Triple Malt Grand Whisky from France 0.7L

Bellevoye Rouge is a French triple malt whisky with 43% ABV, which is refined in former Bordeaux Grand Cru red wine barrels. It stands for a wine-accented style, powerful and with plenty of structure.

Behind the brand is Les Bienheureux. The whisky first matures for five to ten years in used French oak barrels. This is followed by six months of post-maturation near Cognac, which gives it its red wine character.

The nose reveals ripe blackberries and plums, plus roasted aromas and vanilla. On the palate, it feels taut and powerful: crème brûlée, a fine nutty bitterness and a hint of brown sugar, plus a mint note that provides freshness. The barrel gives it depth and a long finish.

Drink it neat to follow the fruitiness and roasted notes in peace, or on ice if you like it a bit lighter.
