Barossa Bush Vine Grenache WO Barossa Valley Samuel's Collection 0.75L
Grenache from the Barossa Valley demonstrates what old bush vines can achieve: concentrated fruit, natural structure, and a depth that young vines simply lack. Yalumba's Samuel's Collection embodies precisely this – in a style that combines the warmth typical of the Barossa Valley with genuine drinkability.
Yalumba is Australia's oldest family-owned winery, founded in 1849 in the Barossa Valley. The Samuel's Collection, named after its founder Samuel Smith, represents wines that directly reflect the region's character. Old bush vines – often over 80 years old in the Barossa – root deeply in the red clay soil, producing small, intensely aromatic berries.
In the glass, the wine shines a rich ruby red. The nose opens with aromas of red plums, dark cherry, and a hint of raspberry jam. On the palate, it is soft and round, with a velvety texture and moderate tannins – typical of Grenache. The finish brings a subtle spiciness, almost peppery, and lingers pleasantly.
Best served at 16–18 °C . Pairs well with braised lamb, grilled merguez sausage, or a hearty lentil stew with chorizo. Also a good choice as an uncomplicated evening wine for any occasion.
