Barbaresco Seracapelli DOCG 0.75L
Barbaresco and Nebbiolo — this is a combination that has worked in Piedmont for centuries. The Seracapelli from Pico Maccario demonstrates what makes this DOCG appellation so special: structure, depth, and an unmistakable origin from the hills around Alba.
Pico Maccario is a winery from Monferrato that focuses on Piedmontese grape varieties and works with meticulous craftsmanship. The Seracapelli wine takes its name from a single vineyard and represents a Barbaresco with a clear regional identity—Nebbiolo as it is grown in Piedmont.
In the glass, the wine shines with a deep ruby garnet hue. The nose opens with aromas of red cherries, plum, and dried violets, along with a hint of rose and clove. On the palate, it displays the typical Nebbiolo structure: firm yet ripe tannins, lively acidity, and a long, slightly spicy finish with notes of tobacco and leather.
Best served at 16–18 °C , preferably decanted an hour beforehand. Classic pairings: Brasato al Barolo, venison ragù over pappardelle, or a mature Parmigiano Reggiano. Drinking window 2025–2030.
