Barbaresco Seracapelli DOCG 0.75L

Barbaresco and Nebbiolo — that is a combination that has worked in Piedmont for centuries. The Seracapelli from Pico Maccario shows what defines this DOCG appellation: structure, depth, and an unmistakable origin from the hills around Alba.

Pico Maccario is a winery from Monferrato that focuses on Piedmontese grape varieties and works with artisanal care. The Seracapelli bears the name of a single vineyard and stands for a Barbaresco with a clear regional identity — Nebbiolo as it has grown in Piedmont.

In the glass, the wine glows in a deep ruby-garnet. In the nose, it opens with red cherries, plum, and dried violets, plus a hint of rose and clove. On the palate, it shows the typical Nebbiolo structure: firm but ripe tannins, lively acidity, and a long, slightly spicy finish with tobacco and leather notes.

Best served at 16–18 °C, preferably decanted an hour beforehand. Classic accompaniment: Brasato al Barolo, game ragù over pappardelle, or an aged Parmigiano Reggiano.
