Amaretto Morbido a Caramello
Soft amaretti from the Tre Fontane artisan bakery — a small family business that relies on traditional Italian recipes. This caramelized variety is originally called Morbido a Caramello : morbido refers to the soft, almost melting texture that distinguishes these amaretti from the familiar crispy varieties.
The base is finely ground almonds — without wheat flour, therefore gluten-free . The buttery caramel note dominates the palate initially, followed by the characteristic slight bitterness of the almond. The texture is soft and moist, the finish long and sweet.
As an accompaniment to espresso or a glass of Passito di Pantelleria . Also goes well with Vin Santo from Tuscany or a mature Sauternes.

Nestled on the slopes of the Ligurian Apennines, the Tre Fontane confectionery embraces the Italian pastry tradition, employing time-honored recipes from master confectioners and placing great emphasis on the quality and freshness of its ingredients: the finest Apulian almonds, the renowned Piedmontese hazelnuts, and chocolate from Turin. Founded in 1993 by its current owner, Tre Fontane, the company has grown from a small shop selling soft amaretti cookies into a global exporter.
