Aalto PS Pagos Selecionados DOCa Ribera del Duero 1.5L

The Aalto PS comes from selected plots (Pagos Seleccionados) of Bodegas Aalto in the Ribera del Duero. Here, Tinta Fina is the focus, as Tempranillo is called in the region. The 1.5-liter magnum is suitable for larger dinner parties and special evenings.

Bodegas Aalto is one of the defining names of the appellation and focuses on concentrated, structured wines from sites along the Duero. The wine is vinified dry and shows a deep purple in the glass.

On the nose, ripe black fruits meet licorice and fine spice notes, accompanied by a wood tone from maturation in French oak. On the palate, it is dense, the tannins are velvety, and the lively acidity keeps it fresh. In the long finish, dark chocolate and a hint of tobacco emerge.

Serve it at 16–18 °C and decant it beforehand so it can open up. It goes well with braised game, lamb dishes, or beef fillet.
