Aalto DO Ribera del Duero 1.5L

The Aalto from Ribera del Duero is a dense but focused Tinto Fino that keeps power and elegance in balance. This wine comes in a 1.5-liter magnum, which is suitable for larger dinner parties and special evenings.

Bodegas Aalto is one of the defining modern wineries of the region. The grapes come predominantly from 40 to 80-year-old vines from nine municipalities in the provinces of Burgos and Valladolid. They are harvested by hand in 15-kilogram crates and strictly selected at the sorting table. The wine is made purely from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and matures for 17 months in French and American oak barrels.

In the glass, it glows deep cherry red. In the nose, red and dark berries meet spices, tobacco, coffee, and fine roasted aromas. On the palate, it appears dense and structured; the texture is silky, the tannin fine-grained. The finish is long and spicy.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16 to 18 °C and decant it beforehand. It goes well with braised lamb, grilled entrecôte, or aged Manchego.
