Mare Magnum –
Cosmopolitan wine culture with Italian roots

Mare Magnum was founded by Takis Soldatos and Mario Calzolari – two industry experts with 30 years of experience each, who pursued a clear idea: wines with real character that do not break the budget. The headquarters are in Montalcino in Tuscany, the production base extends across four Italian regions – Puglia, Abruzzo, Sicily, and Veneto – and reaches far beyond that.

An international team of oenologists works with local winemakers in France, Spain, Greece, Argentina, South Africa, and Australia. The grapes are fermented in regional satellite wineries, then centrally stabilized and aged. This model allows regional peculiarities to be preserved while ensuring consistent quality – confirmed by around 50 gold medals at international wine competitions in recent years.

Mare Magnum is ISO 22000 and HACCP certified and carries the Equalitas sustainability certificate. Anyone who values origin, craftsmanship, and a fair price-performance ratio will find a wide range here – from Apulian Primitivo to Argentine Malbec.
