About Clase Azul

Clase Azul –
Tequila as a craft from the Jalisco Highlands
Clase Azul comes from the Highlands of Jalisco, where blue agaves grow at an altitude of over 2,000 meters for at least seven years before they are harvested. The cooler climate and the red clay soils of the region give the piñas a denser structure and more natural sweetness – the foundation for the tequila's characteristically smooth style.
In the glass, Clase Azul shows aromas of vanilla, caramel, and ripe tropical fruits, carried by a creamy texture that also makes it easy for whisky drinkers to get started. The distillation follows traditional methods: slow steam cooking of the agave hearts, double distillation in copper pot stills.
What also distinguishes Clase Azul is its own manufactory in Santa María Canchesdá: every bottle is hand-painted and glazed there – a process that takes weeks and makes every piece unique. This makes the bottles objects that many buyers keep after the last sip. A tequila for moments where content and form count equally.
