Sito Moresco Langhe DOP 0.75L
Sito Moresco is Gaja's entry into Piedmont — and at the same time proof that the winery makes no compromises even below its flagship Barolo wines. Angelo Gaja established the wine as a Langhe DOC blend to combine international grape varieties with the Piedmontese terroir.
In the glass, it displays an intense violet color. The nose is dominated by ripe blackberry and dark cherry, accompanied by a hint of blood orange and bergamot—an unusually Mediterranean lightness for a wine from northern Italy. Beneath this lies a mineral note, almost flint, which adds depth to the overall profile. On the palate, it is full-bodied with well-integrated tannins and a long, fruit-driven finish.
Best served between 16 and 18 °C . Pairs well with pot roast, lamb chops with rosemary, or a mature Pecorino cheese. If not opened immediately: two to four years of aging will further smooth the texture.
