Leo Hillinger Secco Rosé

A sparkling companion for warm evenings and convivial gatherings: The Secco Rosé from Leo Hillinger in Burgenland combines the freshness of a classic Frizzante with Austrian craftsmanship — light, lively and easy to drink.

Leo Hillinger is one of the most renowned winemakers on Lake Neusiedl. His winery in Jois is situated directly on the hillside overlooking the lake—a Pannonian terroir known for its hot summers and mild autumns, producing aromatically ripe, fruit-forward wines. The Secco Rosé is Hillinger's sparkling interpretation of this style: approachable and fresh, without compromising on fruitiness.

In the glass, it displays a pale salmon pink with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of pomegranate, along with a subtle floral note. On the palate, it is light and lively—the carbonation carries the fruit without being harsh. The acidity is fresh yet integrated, and the finish is short and dry with a final touch of red berries.

Serve well chilled at 6–8 °C . Enjoy as an aperitif, with light summer salads with goat cheese, bruschetta with tomatoes or strawberries with mascarpone. It's also a great base for a simple rosé spritz with a splash of elderflower syrup.
