Leo Hillinger Hill 1

Leo Hillinger's Hill 1 is the flagship of the winery – a Burgenland red wine with depth and structure, designed for aging.

Leo Hillinger cultivates his vineyards around Jois on Lake Neusiedl, where the Pannonian climate with its long, warm autumns provides ideal conditions for fully ripe red wines. The Hill 1 is a cuvée from the estate's best parcels and matures in barriques – a wine that perfectly embodies the estate's high standards.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby ​​red color. The nose offers aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and plum, along with tobacco and subtle roasted notes from the oak aging. On the palate, it is dense and full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, dark-fruited finish. The finish lingers without leaving a heavy residue.
