Latricières-Chambertin AC Grand Cru 0.75L
Latricières-Chambertin is one of the great vineyards of the Côte de Nuits—the southern neighbor of Chambertin itself, with a somewhat lighter, but no less complex character. Domaine Trapet Père & Fils has cultivated its parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin biodynamically for generations and is among the most reliable sources for authentic Burgundy Pinot Noir.
In the glass, the wine reveals the typical profile of the vineyard: aromas of sour cherry and wild strawberry, underpinned by violets, damp forest floor, and a hint of tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with a silky tannin structure and lively acidity that carries the finish long and minerally—a characteristic of the iron-rich limestone soils in Latricières.
Drinking window from now until 2035+, depending on the vintage, with further development in the cellar. Serving temperature 16–17 °C. At the table, this wine pairs well with game birds, venison with mushrooms, or a mature Époisses — classic Burgundy pairings that don't mask the depth of the Grand Cru, but rather reflect it.
