Hautes Côtes de Beaune AC Bourgogne 0.75L
A Burgundian Pinot Noir from the higher elevations above the Côte de Beaune — cooler, leaner, with a freshness that the classic Premiers Crus rarely show.
The Hautes-Côtes de Beaune lies at an altitude of 300 to 450 meters, where shorter growing seasons and calcareous soils impart a pronounced acidity and floral aromas to the Pinot Noir. Domaine Régnard is an established Burgundy estate with long experience in vinifying classic appellations—the focus is on varietal clarity rather than weight.
In the glass, aromas of cherry and raspberry jam, a hint of violet, and a mineral undertone are revealed. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and lively acidity, the finish is fresh and pleasantly long. Not a heavyweight, but a Pinot Noir with character and great drinking pleasure.
Best served between 14 and 16 °C . Pairs well with salmon trout with herb butter, poultry in red wine sauce, or a mild goat cheese. Also a good choice as a simple accompaniment for a casual evening.
