Stellenbosch meets Bordeaux tradition: The Glass Collection Cabernet Sauvignon from Glenelly Estate shows what the granite soils of the Simonsberg slopes can bring out of this grape variety.

Behind Glenelly is May de Lencquesaing, former owner of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. Since 2003, she has been cultivating wines in Stellenbosch with a clear Bordeaux influence—precision and terroir expression rather than quantity. The Glass Collection is the entry point to the range, but by no means a compromise.

In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby ​​red color. The nose offers blackcurrant, plum, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with ripe tannins and good structure, and subtle toasty notes on the finish—a classic Cabernet profile that captures the warmth of Stellenbosch without sacrificing freshness.
