Giovanni Neri Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG Tuscany

Casanova di Neri is one of the defining names in Montalcino — a winery that has consistently relied on the power of Sangiovese Grosso since the 1970s and, with the Giovanni Neri, presents a Brunello that reflects the classic style of the appellation: structured, serious, with the long breath that only these hills south of Siena allow.

In the glass, it shows the typical depth of an aged Brunello: dark cherry, pomegranate, and dried herbs, underscored by a hint of tobacco and leather notes. The tannins are firm but not rough — they give the wine backbone without hardness. The acidity keeps everything in balance, the finish is long and slightly mineral.

Best served at 16–18 °C, ideally decanted an hour before drinking. Classic companions: braised beef shoulder, game ragù on pappardelle, or an aged Pecorino di Pienza. Those who have Brunello on the table for the first time make a reliable choice with this wine.
