Friulano Collio Livon DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia 0.75L
A white wine that shows what Friuli can do: single-varietal Friulano from the Collio, vinified on the characteristic Ponca soils – a mix of marl and sandstone that gives the vines minerality and structure.
Livon is one of the most renowned wineries in the Collio region, cultivating vineyards along the Slovenian border, where the climate is influenced by Adriatic winds and cool evenings from the Julian Alps. Friulano – formerly known as Tocai Friulano – is the leading grape variety of this region, yielding dry, characterful wines with a clear expression of their origin.
Straw yellow in the glass with slight green reflections. On the nose, white almond, ripe pear, and a hint of bitter almond – the typical varietal characteristics of Friulano. On the palate, fresh and medium-bodied, with lively acidity and a slightly nutty, lingering finish.
Pairs well with grilled fish, herb risotto, or mild goat cheese. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Drink now, until 2027.
