Dorsheim GOLDLOCH Riesling dry GG
The Goldloch in Dorsheim is considered one of the quiet greats of the Nahe region — a steep-slope Riesling that demands no attention, but inevitably receives it.
The winery consistently brings out the precise minerality of the Nahe slate and porphyry soils: spontaneous fermentation, extended lees aging, no frills. The result is a Grand Cru that prioritizes depth over sheer volume.
Initially cool and reserved on the nose—minor mineral notes, a hint of orangeade. With a little aeration, it opens up to apple, ripe apricot, and orange, all enveloped in a delicate extract sweetness. On the palate, it displays a fine, juicy pull and genuine tension: compact minerality, an elegant, lean body with a firm backbone. The finish is carried by a subtle yet lingering salinity—long, seemingly endless, complex without ever becoming loud.
