Diced San Marzano No. 2 tomatoes preserved in tomato sauce—a classic of Italian cuisine that no well-stocked pantry should be without. These vintage tomatoes are perfect wherever an aromatic, fruity tomato base is needed: for sauces, soups, and stews, as well as for roasts or fish sauces, to which they lend a delicate, ripe tomato flavor.

The cubes retain their structure during cooking, but dissolve into a velvety-smooth sauce during prolonged simmering—without the need for puréeing. This makes them particularly practical when time is short. Recommendation: Combine them with a splash of dry white wine or a robust red wine for deeper flavors—for example, when braising leg of lamb or preparing a classic Amatriciana.
