Copper Series Grenache-Shiraz-Mourvèdre

An Australian GSM that reinterprets the Southern Rhône style in its own way: approachable, aromatic, with real richness — and a finish that lingers longer than expected.

Tempus Two was born in 1998 from a fresh start by the McGuigan family in the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine region. The name says it all: second attempt, better done. Winemaker Andrew Duff, raised in this wine world and trained in Hawkes Bay, is responsible for the Copper Series. The grapes for this GSM also come from the Limestone Coast south of Adelaide—a region known for the structure and depth of its red wines, which provides the foundation for the blend.

In the glass, ripe blackberry and plum jam unfold, followed by autumn leaves and a hint of dark spice. On the palate, medium-bodied, with soft, ripe tannins without any harshness—more of a smooth flow than an angular structure. The finish carries roasted aromas and dark chocolate, lingering pleasantly.

Serve at 16–18 °C . Pairs well with grilled lamb rump, pulled pork, or a hearty lentil stew. Drinking window until approximately 2027 — already at its peak.
