The Chocolate Cigar Truffle Nougatine by Venchi from Italy is a cigar-shaped praline. The filling consists of cocoa cream with caramelized pieces of the Piedmont Hazelnut IGP.

Venchi stands for Italian chocolate art with roots in Piedmont, the home of the hazelnut. The IGP designation of origin shows that the nuts come from this region.

When you bite into it, the creamy cocoa filling meets crunchy caramel pieces. This is complemented by roasted hazelnut aromas and a note of caramel.

Serve it with an espresso or after a meal. A Vin Santo or a Tawny Port are suitable companions, as their nut and dried fruit notes pick up on the hazelnut.
