Chardonnay Oregon WO Willamette Valley 0.75L
Silver Oak Cellars is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignons from Napa and Alexander Valley—but the Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley demonstrates that the winery also has a distinct style when it comes to white wines. The Willamette Valley in Oregon is considered one of the best Chardonnay-producing regions in North America: a cool, maritime climate, long growing seasons, and volcanic soils that impart structure and freshness to the wine.
In the glass, this dry Chardonnay displays aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and a hint of roasted hazelnut. The acidity is present but integrated—not sharp, but rather a creamy, balanced mouthfeel with a long, slightly mineral finish. Typical of cool Oregon vineyards: more elegance than opulence, more vibrancy than heaviness.
Best served at 10–12 °C . Pairs well with pan-fried turbot, chicken in cream sauce, mature Gruyère cheese, or a risotto with white truffle. Those who appreciate a Chardonnay that isn't overloaded with butter and oak will find here a wine with genuine regional character.
