Cabernet Merlot Malbec Hawke's Bay

A Bordeaux blend from New Zealand: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec from Babich, vinified dry and with a medium body. It glows ruby red in the glass.

Babich is one of New Zealand's well-known family wineries. The grapes for this wine grow in the Irongate vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels in Hawke's Bay. The region is known for its gravelly, well-drained soils, on which Bordeaux grape varieties ripen evenly.

In the nose, there are Morello cherries, wild berries, and cassis, plus a delicate hint of cedar wood. On the palate, fine spice and ripe fruit are added, carried by a balanced structure. The finish remains beautiful and harmonious.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16–18 °C. It goes well with lamb chops, braised beef, or grilled burgers, as well as with strong hard cheese.
