The Bourgogne Rouge from Domaine Marquis d'Angerville comes predominantly from parcels in the plains near Volnay and Meursault, on limestone and clay soils that impart both freshness and a fine structural foundation to the wine. Despite the regional appellation, the Domaine works with great precision and Burgundian attention to detail. The wine is approachable in style, but by no means simple: red berries, cherry, and a hint of floral notes define the aroma profile, complemented by a subtle spiciness. On the palate, it is juicy, elegant, and balanced, with silky tannins and invigorating freshness. A classic, clearly defined Bourgogne Rouge with remarkable finesse and expression.
