45 Rugientes Pinot Noir - Organic

An Argentinian Pinot Noir that shows what the high altitudes of the Andes can bring out of this Burgundian grape variety: fresh, complex, with a clear fruit structure and a long finish.

The 45 Rugientes takes its name from the "Roaring Forties"—the stormy westerly winds that sweep across Patagonia at the 45th parallel. In this harsh climate, the Pinot Noir grapes ripen slowly, developing a depth rarely found in warmer wine regions. The wine is organically produced.

On the nose, it opens with aromas of cherry and strawberry, underpinned by black pepper and a subtle mineral note. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, the fruit is precise and not overpowering, the tannins fine and well-integrated. The finish is long and spicy, with a light aftertaste of red berries.

Best served at 14–16 °C . Pairs well with herb-crusted rack of lamb, grilled salmon, or a mature goat cheese. Also a good choice as a casual evening wine without a heavy meal.
